The Importance of Community

1087378_gatheringHow involved are you in your community?  It’s a great feeling to become part of a community that nourishes your soul. Maybe you have always wanted to go to city council meetings, join a new church community, become part of a quilting circle, or participate in an outdoors club.  Perhaps you can volunteer for or go to a celebration in your community.  You can even look on the internet to become part of a virtual community.

Participating in group activities is a great way to meet new people, feel connected, become exposed to new ideas and opportunities, and have fun.  You may even discover a new passion or a new person to be passionate about!  The more you expand your horizons and become involved in the world, the more opportunities there are for you to experience joy, love, peace, and fun!

    Hello Melanie,

how wonderful to see someone reminding people to get involved with their community.

I volunteer frequently and I must say, it is a real joy to meet new, likeminded, people and to be able to help others at the same time.

What a great role-model you are

Getting involved with my church, Unity Church of Dallas, about 6 years ago was a great decision. I've met so many wonderful people, been able to share and expand my skills and experiences, and co-created many wonderful memories.
